SEND Information
This is our whole school provision map to outline additional support available at each level and the link between each broad area of need. Mr James ensures there is regular monitoring of academic progress, behaviour and emotional wellbeing of each child on the SEND register. As a school we uitilise the ‘assess-plan-do-review model’ and ‘graduated approach’ as outlined in the SEND Code of Practice. Using these approaches we review the provision of each pupil every term and update their Pupil Passport (PP) and Individual Educational Plan (IEP) each term. The PP is a one page profile which outlines the child's area of need, key targets, helpful scripts, support strategies and highlight any resources they need. This passport is created alongside the child so that their voice is valued and reflected within in. Secondly the IEP is used to track the progress of the pupil against 3 targets per term; both of these documents are updated each term but can be revisited at any time should the needs of the child change.
Our SEND information report and SEND policy are shared with all staff and governors annually. The SEND Information Report describes how we identify and support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
